ABOUT
STEM Connection believes that STEM should be accessible, engaging and relevant for learners of all ages.
Background
Curiosity and a passion for science have guided Lindsay Rogers from an early age. Childhood backyard experiments grew into science competitions, a summer science camp, and ultimately an Environmental Studies degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. While working in a water quality laboratory during college, she developed strong research skills and discovered her love for teaching STEM to diverse audiences.
Lindsay later earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction and her Nebraska teaching certification, blending her science background with effective educational practice. She began her career as a naturalist with Fontenelle Forest and went on to spend 13 years with Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, leading statewide science and conservation education initiatives, building partnerships, and expanding access to high-quality STEM learning opportunities across Nebraska.
Throughout her career, Lindsay has advanced STEM learning through curriculum design, grant development, program creation and expansion, and large-scale event coordination. Her experience spans state parks, museums, nature centers, K–12 classrooms, afterschool programs, and summer camps, giving her a broad perspective on both formal and informal education. Across every setting, she remains guided by a core belief that STEM should be accessible, engaging, and relevant for learners of all ages, backgrounds, and interests.
